Warren C. Britton, 64, of Gilmanton, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at his home in Gilmanton, WI surrounded by his family and friends.\nHe was born on June 21, 1944 in Eau Claire, WI to Glenn and Frances (Forthun) Britton. In 1962 he graduated from Gilmanton High School. Warren was employed by the Buffalo County Sheriff Dept., was a city officer for the Mondovi Police Dept. and employed by Poeschel Trucking. Later he worked for Marten Transport where he became a member of the Million Mile Club. After driving, he became an evening dispatcher for Marten.\nWarren enjoyed woodworking and giving away those projects to his friends and family. He also enjoyed collecting toy tractors, building aircraft models and playing bingo at the casino with friends. He took great pride in his house and his lawn.\nHe was a member of the Army National Guard.\nHe is survived by one brother, Richard (Judy) Britton of Mondovi and a sister, Barbara (Mike) Brunner of Durand; nieces and many friends.\nWarren was preceded in death by his parents.
