Victoria Lee Laehn, 70 of Mondovi, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was born June 22, 1950 in Kansas, the daughter of Naomi (McClay) and Bluford Hartnett.
Vickie graduated from Plainville High School in Kansas, then went on to graduate from Cosmetology School in 1969. Vickie married Jerry Laehn May 15, 1983 in Hayes, Kansas, and moved to Mondovi in 1986. She worked at a beauty shop for years and also was a nursing assistant in Healthcare around Mondovi. Vickie's pride and joy were her grandchildren who she loved dearly. In her spare time, Vickie enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.
She is survived by her children; Jeff (Emily) Todd, Justin (Lauralie Cole) Todd, Jamie Todd, Jerome Laehn, Sarah (Zeb) Zielie, daughter-in-law; Jenni Johnson, five grandchildren; Kadin Todd, Jackson & Kyle Todd, Tyriel Laehn, Griffin Zielie, brother; Glenn Hartnett and closest friends Connie (Fernando) Serrano and Kathy Sandberg and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, brother Thyril Hartnett, step mother Nadine Hartnett and sister-in-law Jeanette Hartnett.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Chapel in Mondovi. Family and friends may visit from noon until the time of the service. Inurnment will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Mondovi where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Jerry.
