Juanita J. Swain, 85, a resident of Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI, formerly of Mondovi, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at Tri County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall, WI.\nShe was born on December 16, 1922 in the Town of Sumner, Trempealeau County, WI to Eugene and Leota (Henry) Heath. She married Clarence Swain in Strum on September 18, 1943. Juanita and Clarence farmed in the Chimney Rock area and later she was employed at Dough Boy Industries in Eleva. After that Juanita worked as a nurse's aide for Buffalo Memorial Manor in Mondovi for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, growing houseplants and her pets, especially her cats and her favorite dog, Speckles.\nShe was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden and it's Ladies Aid.\nShe is survived by a son, Clarence A. (Melissa Youderian-Swain) Swain of Osseo, WI; a stepson, Gerald "Bud"(Irene) Swain of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Nicholas C. Swain, Jeremiah R. Swain and Stephanie J. Swain; a sister, Lillian Ferguson of Eleva; a brother, Alvin Heath of Blair; nieces, nephews and other relatives.\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; and one brother, James Heath.
