Gary Dean Lamb

Gary Dean Lamb, 53, of Mondovi, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born March 26, 1970, in Austin, Texas. He is the son of Ralph and Kathy (Dregney) Sandberg, as well as biological son of Gary Dean and Penny Lamb. 

Gary graduated from Mondovi High School in 1989. On May 29, 1993, he married Lisa Remington. They were blessed with two sons, Brett and Derrick. Gary and Lisa later divorced. 

Gary worked in the trucking industry for most of his life as a mechanic, service manager, and service writer. He was currently employed at the Walmart Distribution Center.  

Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. If there was a grandchild or any other child around, he would be right there playing and interacting with them. If there was a chance to sing and dance, he would have the mic in hand or feet on the dance floor. He also loved camping and telling stories around the campfire, but most of all bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Gary was also always up for watching a good game of football, especially the Green Bay Packers. 

Gary is survived by his fiancé, Pam Teigen; his sons, Brett (fiancé Amber Severson) Lamb and Derrick (fiancé Valerie Jones) Lamb; his mother, Kathy Sandberg; his biological father, Gary Dean; his sisters, Sylvia Lamb and Melissa Dunbar; Pam’s children, Jena (fiancé Jack Popple) Teigen, Dylan (Harli Jo) Teigen, and Anna (Jared Frederick) Teigen; grandchildren, Ethan, Brianna, Benson, Carter, and Sutton; and many other relatives and special friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Sandberg; his biological mother, Penny Lamb; and his sister, Debbie. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Mondovi. Following the burial there will be a Celebration of Life from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 459 in Eleva.
