Elaine "Connie" Todahl, 78, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her home in Eleva, WI. Connie was born January 18, 1938 to Harry and Levina (Austin) Klopp in Mondovi, Wisconsin.
Connie married her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Todahl, on October 26, 1957 at Fort Snelling Chapel in Minneapolis, MN. Connie and Bob traveled the world as a military family and had four children along the way. In 1973 they moved permanently to Eleva, Wisconsin. Connie worked at various positions in Eau Claire, including Memorex, 3M, and the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, where she made many friends.
Connie was a member of the Eleva Lutheran Church. She was a fiercely devout mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and took great pride in her family. She was also a die-hard Badger and Packer fan.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Tamara Brantner of Eleva, Kim (Charlie) Brantner of Racine, Cari Taylor (Erin) of Glendale; son, Robert (Dawn) Todahl Jr. of Eleva. She is also survived by her grandsons; Christopher (Katie) Emerson of Minneapolis, Dillon (Alex) Todahl of Eau Claire, and Gabriel Todahl of Colby; Jake Kirk of Eleva; granddaughters, Stacy (Donny) Johnstone of Racine, Kristy (Laith) Gilbertson of La Crosse and Becky (Jamie) Hartley of Racine; Mackenzie King of Glendale, Reese Parish of Glendale. Also 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her grandson, Michael Emerson; her parents, and siblings, Betty Steiner, Joan Peterson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January16, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Eleva Lutheran Church, Reverend Bob Castro will be officiating.
A Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church starting at 10:00AM till the time of service.
The family has requested that those attending the visitation and/or funeral to wear Packer and/or Badger apparel to honor Connie's fandom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Shriner's Hospital in Minneapolis or to a charity of your choice.
