Clayton Kolve,

Clayton Kolve, Jr., age 60, of rural Eleva, died on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 8, 1959 in Eleva to Clayton, Sr. and Ella (Norby) Kolve. He grew up in Eleva area and in Seattle, WA before he returned and later graduated from Eleva-Strum High School in 1977. Clay drove the route truck for Family Farms for many years and later for Mondovi Dairy Systems. He also operated his own dairy farm, milking his own cows and helping neighbors. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden and served on the church council. Clay loved farming and also going hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and family.
He is survived by his son, Jason (Dana) Kolve of Eleva; three grandchildren, Kylie, Jaxon, and Easton Kolve, all of Eleva; Jason and Travis' mom, Lisa Karlstad of Osseo; step-son, Chad (Jodi) Wagner; brother, Bob (Geraldine) Kolve of Eleva; three sisters, Joyce Olson of Eleva, and LaVonne (Frank) Evans and Karen Raney, all of Seattle, WA; adopted mom, Marge Christianson of Eleva; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Travis Dean Kolve; parents, Clayton, Sr. and Ella Kolve; and two brothers, Nels and LaVern Kolve.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden with Pastor Kermit Solem officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home, Mondovi is assisting the family with arrangements.
