Betty Lou (Robinson) Holzem

Betty Lou Holzem, 62, of Mondovi, WI passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI. 

She was born January 4, 1961 in Buffalo, MN; daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Robinson. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Long Prairie High School.

Betty moved to Wisconsin and met David Holzem as they both worked at the same Cenex Coop. On May 9th, 1992 they were wed in Mondovi, WI. She continued to live out the rest of her days in Mondovi, where she watched her children grow into adulthood, and was blessed with grandchildren. 

Betty worked as an EMT for the Mondovi Ambulance for many years, managed the Cenex/Countryside Coop, and was a merchandiser for Crossmark. Her many interests included her love of nature, flowers, and animals. She always made sure to spend as much time with family as she could, and went out of her way to make the people around her feel special and loved. In both professional or personal areas, Betty always demonstrated keen curiosity and a desire to achieve her very best.

She is survived by her husband, David; children, Ben Kuehne-Welsh, Bethany Kuehne (Daniel Dolinov), Kirstyn (Matthew) Ketchum, Steffen Holzem (Allisha Symington); grandchildren, Cadence and Julian Kuehne-Welsh, Colton and Rilynn Ketchum, Trysen and Levi Holzem; father, Robert Robinson; brothers, Stephen, Alan, and David Robinson.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth and sister, Mary Robinson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 8th, 2023 from 1:00 PM- 5:00 PM at Roger Marten Community Center: 120 S Franklin St, Mondovi WI 54755.
