Virginia Knudtson Obituary
Virginia L. Knudtson,99 of Gilmanton, WI passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI. She was born August 31, 1920 in North Dakota, the daughter of Gabriel and Mildred (Ruf) Homsley.
At a young age Virginia moved to Gilmanton where she graduated from Gilmanton High School in 1938. February 15, 1941 she married Milford Knudtson in Decorah, Iowa. Virginia was a wonderful cook and homemaker, best known for her "Virginia's Potato Salad". She loved to garden, quilt, canning, watching birds and reading but mostly spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, AnnaMae (Elmer) Rud of Osseo, Goldeen Knudtson of Eau Claire, Nancy Jardine of Mondovi and William (Judy) Knudtson of Osseo, 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Mary Knudtson of Osseo, sister-in-law Bernice Nichols, Brothers-in-law, Orvin and Raymond Knudtson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Milford Knudtson, two sons Harold and James Knudtson, granddaughter Tanya Knudtson-Crist, great grandchildren River Hutson and Colin Knudtson, two sisters and one step-brother.
