Sigurd Brian Obituary
Sigurd A. Brian, 65 , of Eleva, Wisconsin passed away Saturday August 2, 2014 in his home with his family by his side. He was born September 14, 1948 in Eau Claire, WI the son of Richard and Irene (Traaseth) Brian.
Sig was a loving son, brother, friend, husband, uncle, dad, and grandpa. He loved being surrounded by his family, and he also enjoyed the peace of living in the country. He was happy watching the birds, deer and waiting for his tree frogs that visited each evening. He was always an active man and was rarely seen sitting idle. Once the cancer took away his mobility, he was still on the move and wanted to be involved with everything going on around him - that included running the lever on the wood splitter from his wheelchair. We are thankful for the times we shared and we'll miss him every day.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Westlund ) of 45 years: his three children Laurie Hillestad, of Eleva; Kristina Schwartz of Eleva; and Steven (Karla Demaske) Brian of Hallie. Sig was also Proud of his 6 Grandchildren: Stephanie and Hannah Brian, Wyatt, Kloe, and Kaleb Hillestad, and Greg Schwartz; His mother Irene Brian of Strum, three sisters LouAnn Marsolek of Cudahy; Judy (Richard) Owens of Strum; Rhonda ( Scott) Krueger of Strum, and a brother Dean (Debbie) Brian of Strum; A Sister in law Sandy (Phil)Quisling of Roseville, Ca.; and Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard and Brother in law William Marsolek
