Naomi E. Gonty

Naomi Eileen Gonty ,88, of Winona, MN formerly of Mondovi and Eleva Wi. Died Saturday March 28, 2015 at Winona Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Naomi was born September 18, 1926. She was a graduate of Gilmanton high school. She then married James Walter Win and moved to Illinois where she started her 58 year nursing career. They had four children Duane , Ruth, Mary, and Lois. She later returned to Buffalo County and married Joseph Gonty of Eleva, Wi. Where they raised chickens for Arcadia and continued on as a nurse's aide at Mondovi nursing home. She was a kind, good hearted Christian person that helped many people along her path. Naomi enjoyed animals, plants, birds, elephant memorabilia, and many dear friends. Naomi is survived by two daughters, Mary (John) Neis of Winona, MN; Ruth (Richard) Kraus Sr. Of Mondovi, WI and daughter-in-law Denise Winn of McHenry, IL 6 granddaughters - Tosha (Henry) Klopp; Tonia Schwanke; Rachael(Scott) Wulff; Rebecca(David) Buller; Robin Kraus; Rosemary Kraus. Three grandsons - Richard (Kristi) Kraus; Jeremy Klopp; Stephen Klopp. 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Edwin and Myrtle (Ellenberger) Serum; Joseph Gonty; James Winn; Duane Winn; Lois Payton; and Jennifer Kraus.
She will be sadly missed buy those whose lives she touched, but the heavens rejoice she is home.
Memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden; County Road Y; Eleva,WI on Friday April 10th at 4 o'clock p.m.
