Myrtle I Pierce

Myrtle I. Pierce (Shay), (99) of Mondovi, WI passed away on Sunday June 8, 2014 at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire, WI. She was born May 6, 1915 to the late William and Nora (Goss) Shay. Myrtle married Mervin Pierce in 1936 in Mondovi, WI. She was a hard working and generous person; she loved to sew, garden, and spend time with her family, especially enjoying family dinners. Myrtle and Mervin farmed with their son David in the town of Brunswick until 1964 when she moved to Eau Claire.
Myrtle is survived by daughter: Barb (Bruce) Wulff of Mondovi, WI, Daughter-In-Law Clarice Pierce of Eau Claire, WI. Grandchildren: Craig Wulff of Mondovi, WI, Dan ( Lisa) Wulff of Mondovi, WI., Tim Wulff of Mondovi, WI, Wendy ( Mike) Mosley of Augusta, WI, Jane Pierce ( Jody Doro) of Rhinelander, WI, Teresa Holmes of Eau Claire, WI. Great Grandchildren: Jason ( Sara) Wulff, Ben ( Mary Ann ) Mosley, Daniel (Laura) Holmes, Schuyler Wulff, Kaitlin ( Jake Woodley) Holmes, Allison Mosley, Johanna Wulff, Sadie Wulff, Joshua Doro and Olivia Wulff. Sisters-In-Law: Lorraine Shay and Isabelle Pierce.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mervin, son David, four brothers: Delbert, William, Harry, Dean Shay and two sisters: Evelyn Olson, Ione Kruger.
A visitation will be Thursday June 12, 2014 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi, WI from 10-11AM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday following visitation also at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
