Marvin Bloom Obituary

Marvin Oscar Bloom, (84) of Mondovi, WI passed away on Monday May 12, 2014 at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi, WI. He was born on January 24, 1930 to the late Oscar and Angeline (Stando) Bloom in Buffalo County WI.
He attended various country schools and helped on the home farm. He married Bonnie Koepp on June 10, 1950 in Mondovi, WI where they took over the home farm. Besides farming Marvin drove truck for the Buffalo Co. Hwy. Dept. for 14 years and then the Town of Mondovi for 20 years. They sold the farm in 1984 and lived in Strum for a time before moving to a hobby farm near Cochrane, WI.
Bonnie died in 2002, Marvin continued to farm until 2007 when he moved to the Home Place in Mondovi. He then moved to the American Lutheran Home in 2011 where he lived until his death.
Marvin's hobbies included raising ponies and donkey's. He also loved taking care of his flower garden.
He is survived by his brother, Miland (Kathleen) of Mondovi, WI; two sisters, Delores (Dale) Hemmy of Beloit, WI; Darlene Seward of Raytown, MO; brother-in-law, Ray Belanger of Superior, WI; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; parents; sister, Betty Belanger; sister-in-law, Phyllis Parr; brother-in-law, Robert Seward.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi with Chaplain Gary Preston officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery also in Mondovi.
