Margaret Hazen Obituary
Margaret Hazen (97) of rural Eleva passed away Friday afternoon, April 20, 2018 at River Pines in Altoona, WI. Margaret Helen (Tweet) Hazen was born December 11, 1920 in Pleasant Valley, WI to the late, Ole and Tillie (Olson) Tweet. She was baptized and confirmed at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church in Eleva.
She married Stanley Hazen on June 29th, 1940. They had three children. Stanley and Margaret enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling in their motorhome.
Margaret is survived by her children, Gary (Sharon) Hazen, Lois (Hazen) Hove, Ron (Joann) Hazen; five grandchildren, Stacy (Dennis) Hendrickson, Craig (Amy Rider) Hazen, Kirk Hove, Amy Hazen, Matthew (Rhonda) Hazen; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hendrickson and Brandon Hendrickson; sister, Doris Pearson and brother-in-law, Vern Mertinke.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; brothers, Milward, Simon, Obert and Lawrence Tweet; her sisters, Tina Sands, Gladys Steinhauer and Rose Mertinke; son-in-law, Don Hove and granddaughter, Mandy Hazen.
The family would like to thank Grace Lutheran Communities- River Pines in Altoona and St. Joseph's Hospice Care of Chippewa Falls for the care of Margaret.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church (W2450 County Rd. WW Eleva) with Pastor JonPaul Dragseth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
