Lawrence Palmer Pederson
Age 96, of Eleva, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Mayo Health Systems-Oakridge, Osseo, WI. He was born on June 2, 1918 to the late Peter and Laura (Insteness) Pederson on the home farm in Pleasant Valley (Eleva, WI). Lawrence attended Sands school. He married Genevieve Gunderson on April 17, 1943; they were blessed with 6 children.
Lawrence started out farming a year after their marriage. They moved to Antioch, Ill. to work on a big farm for $100 a month. After three years they moved back to the Eleva area to work on a farm.
Later he started to do carpenter work; he built many homes in the surrounding area. Lawrence enjoyed working in his shop tinkering and making many things. Furniture, cradles, and different things for the church.
Lawrence is survived by his wife Genevieve of 71 years. 6 Children; Ronald Pederson of Lyons CO, Janet (Rich) Dyer of Paw Paw, Ill, Dale (Linda) Pederson of Strum, WI, Robert ( Barbara) of Eleva, WI, Michelle Pederson of Eau Claire, WI, Michael "Mikey" Pederson of Strum, WI.
10, Grand children and 19 Great grandchildren. Sibling, Frances White of California, Richard (Darlene) Pederson of Eleva, WI, Walter Pederson of Mondovi, WI, and sister-in-law Vivian Pederson, many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Laura. Siblings, Obert Pederson, Anna Puro, Borghild White, Great granddaughter, GiGi Baker.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Eleva Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, 12:00PM at the Eleva Lutheran Church with Pastor David Bangert officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
