Gordon Schultz Obituary

Gordon "Gordie" Schultz, age 81, of Augusta, formerly of Mondovi, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Palmer Place in Augusta. He was born on September 30, 1936 in Mondovi to Romie and Johanna (Buchholz) Schultz and grew up there with his brothers and sisters. Gordie later lived and worked independently in Arcadia. He enjoyed living the last few years at Palmer Place, where he was loved and taken care of. He loved his family, especially visiting with them. Gordie could often be found having a meal at one of his favorite restaurants, listening to music, or going fishing. He was a very sweet man and had a bit of a spark in him too. His family will miss him dearly but know that he is at peace with his parents and siblings.

Gordie is survived by his two sisters-in-law, Frannie Schultz of Mondovi and Linda Schultz of Eau Claire; eight nieces and nephews, David (Tootie) Schultz, Dennis (Diane) Schultz, John (Mary) Schultz, Mary (Robert) Marten, Susan (Cal) Scharf, Mike Thorson, Stacy (Brian) Jachymowski, and Stef (Tony) Betley; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Johanna Schultz; all his siblings; and many other loved ones.
The family would like to thank all of Gordie's wonderful caretakers throughout the years, especially Rachel, Mary, and Jessie.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Savior's United Methodist Church in Mondovi. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
