Clarence Alex Palmore, age 52 of Strum, WI. passed away on Thursday March 20, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, WI. He was born May 20, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Cornelius Palmore and Catherine Owens. Clarence grew up in Waukegan, Ill. He married Juanita Sykes, together they lived in Kenosha, WI, they later divorced. He married Sheryl Goodlow in 1987 in Kenosha, WI. They then moved to Mondovi, WI for a short time before moving to Eau Claire, WI. where they later divorced. On September 14, 2013 he married Cathy Pullman at their home in Strum, WI.
Clarence worked various jobs; he worked with disabled children and as a CNA in Kenosha, after moving to Mondovi he worked as a CNA at Dove Health Care. He later moved to Eau Claire where he managed several Burger Kings, worked at Menards and at the Trempealeau County Health Care Center as a CNA until becoming disabled in 2011.
He was a hard worker, in his spare time he enjoyed watching tv and tending to his plants. He loved visiting with people, he was a very giving person and would give the shirt off his back. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Clarence had an outgoing personality, he could cheer people up with his contagious smile and laugh. He could always make you feel good about yourself and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Palmore of Strum, WI; eight children, Shalonda Palmore, Lawanda Palmore, Catherine Sykes of Kenosha, WI; Kesha (Eugene) Palmore of Round Lake, Il; Floyd Goodlow of Dallas, GA; Jeanette, Sara and Steven Goodlow of Powder Springs, GA; twelve grandchildren, James, Jamaree, Demetrius, Ja'syah, Jasarion, Jasani, Evan, Xavier, Alicia, Veronica, Caroline and Jordan; sisters, Cornelia (Ricky) Swanigan and Verna Moss of Kenosha, WI; sisters-in-law, Janet (Richard) Kowitz of Eleva, WI; Betty (Vern) Engen of Eleva, WI; Alice Olson (Kenny) of Waverly, MN; Phyllis Pullman of Eleva, WI; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; his constant companion Fur Baby, Zoey. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nicole; brother, Darnell; sisters-in-law, Rita Sluga, Ruth Frazee and brother-in-law, Robert Pullman.
Viewing and Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 from 11:00 am-1:00pm at the Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Eleva, WI.
