Cecilia Angela Bauer (Prissel)
Age 95, of Mondovi, WI passed away on Monday September 15, 2014 at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. Cecilia was born in the township of Lima on May 25, 1919 to Leo and Barbara (Vogler) Prissel.
She married Joseph Bauer on April 22, 1941 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Lima, WI. Cecilia and Joe farmed in the Mondovi and Durand areas all of their lives. They moved to Mondovi in 1995.
Cecilia loved to garden, cook and play cards. She always took care of family and guests first. She was very devoted to her family and church. She was awarded woman of light in 2009 by the Sacred Heart Parish Church.
Survivors include, six children; Myron (Peggy) Bauer of Mondovi; Tom ( Mary) Bauer of Durand; Jerry ( Sue) Bauer of Mondovi; Barb (John) Meixner of Arkansaw; Greg ( Cindy) Bauer of Chippewa Falls; Joe ( Marcy) Bauer of Eau Galle. Daughter-in-law; Dianne Bauer of Eau Claire. Sister-in-law; Lucian Bauer of Durand.
Nineteen Grandchildren and twenty three Great Grandchildren.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, one son Ronald J.; a granddaughter; Angela Bauer. One brother; Robert Prissel. Four Sisters; Elis Bauer, Sister Honorata, Pauline Prissel, Hilda Foster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 18, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Mondovi, WI with Father Eric Linzmaier officiating.
