Carol Christenson Obituary
Carol S. Christenson 74, of Mondovi. WI passed away December 5, 2014 at her residence, Garlick's CBRF. Inc., after a courageous fight against cancer. She was born July 25, 1940 , the daughter of the late Spencer and Myrtle (Thompson) Christenson. After graduating from Mondovi High School, Carol continued to live in Mondovi at home on Cottage St. or in her other home, Garlick's on Eau Claire St.
Carol S. Christenson 74, of Mondovi. WI passed away December 5, 2014 at her residence, Garlick's CBRF. Inc., after a courageous fight against cancer. She was born July 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Spencer and Myrtle (Thompson) Christenson. After graduating from Mondovi High School, Carol continued to live in Mondovi at home on Cottage St. or in her other home, Garlick's on Eau Claire St.
Carol was an avid reader and often read to other residents at her home. In her life time she read thousands of books, and enjoyed volunteering at the Mondovi Public Library. She also enjoyed dancing at parties, wearing jewelry, talking to her birds , and always had a smile on her face. There, with her friends Mary Jo LaBair, Lori Rud and other staff and residents, had a home she could feel comfortable in.
Carol is survived by her brothers Jerry (Nancy) Christensen of Chetek and Jimmy (Toni) Christenson of Madison, and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother Alan, three infant sisters, Lu Ann, Connie, and Mary and a nephew Jason Christenson.
Funeral services will be held at the Friendship Church in Mondovi, WI Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Richard Christian officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery in Mondovi. Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Mary Jo LaBair, and other staff at Carol's home on Eau Claire St. in Mondovi, for all they did for Carol.
