Brock Larson Obituary
Brock Cecil Larson, age 36, of Minneapolis, MN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. He was born on March 3, 1981 in Houston, TX and grew up in rural Durand. He attended Durand and Mondovi High Schools. Brock farmed and later worked construction with his uncles, before eventually owning his own construction business and later barbershop. He was currently in road construction, but was working towards his dream of owning his own car dealership. Brock loved his family and friends and would do anything in the world for them. He was a jack of all trades and a daredevil, especially on his motorcycle. He loved to go on road trips and never had a dull moment. He brought out the best in everyone. Brock will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, his world, Rylie Larson of Minneapolis, MN; the mother of his child, Dani Kirkwood of Minneapolis, MN; parents, Patsy and Roger Poeschel of Durand; two sisters, Nicole (Beasley Baker) Larson of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Crystal (Robert Wolf) Poeschel of Durand; niece, Destiny; two nephews, Austin and Jamari; biological father, Floyd Landry of Houston, TX; maternal grandmother, Clarice Larson of Mondovi; paternal grandmother, Rosie Landry of Houston, TX; close friend, Shirley of Apple Valley, MN; special cousin, Kayla Hutter of Durand; adopted daughter, Octavia Caldwell (and daughter Iyanna) of Menomonie; and many other aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane Larson and Leopold and Helen Poeschel.
A celebration of Brock's life will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home, Mondovi with a service of remembrance at 6:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. Online condolences may be shared at www.kjentvet-smithfuneralhome.com.
