Bethany Kirk Obituary
Bethany R. Kirk, age 22 of Mondovi, WI passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Mayo Health Systems in Eau Claire, with her family at her side after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Bethany was born on April 26, 1993 in Eau Claire, WI to David and Tracy Kirk. Bethany graduated from Mondovi High School with the class of 2011. She enjoyed school and was currently enrolled at the University Wisconsin-Stevens Point, studying Health Care Administration.
She was very independent and liked to cook. Bethany enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She also loved working at the UW Stevens Point library.
Survivors include her parents; David Kirk of Mondovi, WI, and mother; Tracy Kirk (James Laehn) of Hillsboro, WI. Brother; Robert "Bob" Stene ( Cassandra) of Hillsboro, WI. 1Nephew; Ryland Stene, 1Neice; Anna Beth Stene. 2Aunts; Lori (Bruce) Woelfel of Plymouth, WI, Sheila (Mark) Tapper of Duluth, MN, Grandparents; Don Knadle of Hillsboro, WI, Phyllis & Charles Kirk of Eau Claire, WI. Great- Grandparents; Dick & Doris Berge of Appleton, WI, Wilhemina & Emil Knadle of Hillsboro, WI, and many cousins. She will be sadly missed by her special friends; Corryn & Hannah and co-workers Sara and Jennifer.
Bethany will also be missed by her extended family the "Laehns".
Bethany is preceded in death by her grandmother; Joan Knadle, and 1 cousin; Ian Rassmussen, and her two beloved dogs Cleveland & Logan.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Mondovi at 1:00PM, on Saturday, October 17, 2015, with Pastor Gary Preston officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 12:00PM.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chakrabarti, Dr. Ladha, Dr. Mogulla, Dr. Hudson, and Dr. Roman. Nurses on the 3rd and 4th floor of Luther Hospital in Eau Claire and Nurses on the 6th floor at UW Madison.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Bethany's name to Bob's House of Dog's, and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
