Ada Elaine Kins (Gates)
Age 99 of Eau Claire, WI formerly of Mondovi, WI, passed away July 16, 2013 at Grace Woodlands in Eau Claire, WI. Ada was born on March 4, 1914, the 8th child of Franklin and Emma (Hartwick) Gates.
She married the love of her life Abner Kins on July 3, 1931 in Winona, MN. Ada is survived by a Daughter Mavis Perry of Eau Claire, WI; Sister, Francis Zehe, age 104 of Shell Lake, WI. ; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Ada worked at the Ede Rexal Drug Store in Mondovi as a Clerk. She was active in the Central Lutheran Church teaching Sunday school, she was also involved with the CLCW and the Church Circles. She moved to Eau Claire in 1983 and continued her work at First Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Abner, her Parents, two Brothers, Gerald and Clayton Gates, four Sisters, Mary, Myrtle, Ethel and Coral. Brothers-in-law Spencer and Sylvin Kins, Sister-in-law and her husband, Mae and Henry Larson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Central Lutheran Church, Mondovi, WI from 12:00 to 1:30PM. Funeral Service will follow the Visitation at Central Lutheran Church at 1:30PM. Burial will be held at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery following the Service.
