  • Judy Pedersen Dear family of Charlotte. When I heard from my niece Janet Gaines in January, I knew Jan was hurting. I only knew Charlotte through the loving stories and anecdotes that I heard from Janet throughout our lives when she would talk of "my friend Charlotte." You see, I never had the opportunity to move to Minneapolis, but have spent my whole life in the Wisconsin "stomping ground" of where Janet was born and we were little girls. It is clear that Charlotte was a very special person and that she spread joy and happiness to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. May the thought of some day rejoicing with Charlottte bring you comfort and may the love of of those who remain with you give you peace. Aunt Judy

  • Helen Qualls My deepest sympathy to all the family of Charlotte. My friendship with Charlote has always been a blessing to me and my family for many years. I will always miss her and wish I could have gone for
her funeral. I know she is in a better place and no longer suffering and for that, I am grateful. She has left me with a friendship that I will always treasure and many wonderful memories of her. I also treasure the wonderful family she has left behind and their many kindnesses to me over the years

  • Janet Gaines My condolences to all the family of my dear friend of 60 + years, Charlotte. We were both born in 1936 in Wisconsin, but became friends as teenagers in Minneapolis, through high school and beyond. As we both moved around the country over the years, we kept in touch, and time nor distance can separate close friends. For years we exchanged birthday gifts, something we both enjoyed, and I believe we wrote more letters then too, but always contacted each other at least at Christmas and our birthdays. I still have gifts Charlotte has sent me that I treasure, and remember many more. While I feel the sadness of her not being here, I'm grateful that she has now been totally healed. GOD promises us a new heavenly body that will live forever. No more pain, no more sorrow, no more death. GOD will wipe away every tear. And, she's in a place of fullness of love and joy and peace, and more wondrous things that GOD has prepared, beyond anything we could think or imagine. More importantly, her soul, her spirit, never died, just went on to be with our heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. So, we sorrow, but not as those who have no hope! We have the promise of eternal life, and we will see Charlotte again in heaven. One of my favorite scriptures memorized is John 14:1-6 ... Jesus said He goes to prepare a place for us, and He will come again to receive us unto Himself that where He is we may be also. What an awesome promise from our King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I pray for comfort and peace that passes understanding Luverne, Duane, Wendy, Lisa, Elizabeth, and families. Colie, Corinne, Craig, all the children. Much love & prayers for you all....janet XO <><

  • Lisa Johnson I hope you have found effortless and eternal peace, Mom. I will always remember your smile and how I enjoyed listening to you hum to music when I was a kid. I loved your singing voice but mostly I loved when I could make you laugh. It always made me feel closer to you when we shared laughter. I will miss you Mom-may you rest in peace.
    Love always,
    Lisa
