McKenna Marie Kay Johnson, 13, of Eleva, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 as a result from a car accident.
She was born on April 14, 1998 in Eau Claire to Angela Asher.
She attended Eleva-Strum School District. McKenna enjoyed listening to music, writing poems and writing in her journal. She like to draw and take pictures. She also enjoyed picking on her older brother, playing with her little brother and sister and hanging out with her friends.
She is survived by her mother, Angela Asher of Eleva, step-father, Isaac Streit of Eleva, two brothers, Justis Waller of Strum and Jamison Streit of Eleva, a sister, Jaelyn Streit of Eleva, grandparents Dean (Debra) Brian of Strum, grandfather Lawrence Johnson of Menomonie, great grandma, Irene Brian of Strum and aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold and Gertude Severson and great grandparents Edward and Francis Verity.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Eleva Lutheran Church in Eleva, WI with Rev. Kermit Solem officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 26, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kjentvet - Smith Funeral Home in Eleva and again on Tuesday, December 27 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at church.

Words cannot express my sorrow at McKenna's passing. I'm sorry that I never got to know her (Or the rest of your family) the way that I should have, but circumstances being what they are...Remember that our loved ones always are with us in our hearts. She is with Grandma and Grandpa Verity & the rest of our family. I am truly sorry for you and Justis.

Denise I am so very sorry for your family's loss. I do not know your family but I also have a daughter named McKenna so I have been moved by this story and feel so terrible for your loss. I know there are no words to make the pain go away and I feel so sad that this happened this time of the year; however I know there is never a better time for something like this.
