Barbara Ellen (Staats) Heath

Barbara Ellen Heath, 78, of Eau Claire, WI died Friday, January 26, 2024 at Azura Memory Care in Eau Claire, WI. She was born March 11, 1945 in the Town of Bridge Creek in Eau Claire County; daughter of Ronald and Isabelle (Clark) Staats. She graduated from Neillsville High School.

On April 10, 1965 she married Larry Heath in Augusta. They lived in Milwaukee until 1967 when they moved to the town of Chimney Rock where they farmed until 1990. Then they moved to Eleva and then to Strum in 1999.

Barbara worked as a CNA at Whitehall and Osseo Nursing Homes, she was a beautician, and worked at The Quilt Yard in Osseo.  She later worked at Phillips Plastics, retiring after 10 years.

She loved family gatherings, gardening, quilting, and building crafts with Larry. She also loved cooking and she loved making lefsa.

She is survived by her children, Timothy (Ronalie) Heath of Menomonie, Penny (Daniel) Welke of Eleva and Randy Heath of Eleva; grandchildren, Mikayla, Arthur, Bethany, Meghan, Ryan, Collin, Hayley , Mitchell, Carter, Noah and Kelsey; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda (Arden) Bedward.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son; Eric; grandson, Andrew; and brother, Roger Staats.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Oasis Church, 3445 Gateway Drive, Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Chimney Rock Cemetery at a later date.
