Ronald Odegard Obituary
Ronald Coleman Odegard, age 86 of Mondovi, WI passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home with family by his side.
Ronald was born July 20, 1928 in Riverside, California to the late Selmer and Selma (Thorson) Odegard. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. On October 18, 1958 he married Eldora Everson at the Drammen Lutheran Church. Three girls were born to this marriage.
Ron worked at O & N Lumber Company in Fall Creek for 5 years and returned to Mondovi in 1962 where he continued with O & N. The name changed to Buffalo Valley Building Center where he was manager and became owner until 1985.
He spent the later part of his career as a Sales Representative for Automated Products of Marshfield, WI, until retirement in 2008.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eldora. Three daughter: Jacqie (Jim) Teigen of Mondovi, Joee (Steve) Cooley of Eau Claire, Jeri ( Jeff) Parr of Eau Claire. 4 grandchildren: Jillian (Matt) Zerbe, Jocelyn (Travis) Holmes, Jayme Teigen, Adam (Bria) Lindstrom. 3 great-grandchildren: Jadalyn, Evelyn, Penelope, a sister-in-law, Arleen Odegard and a niece Jan Odegard.
Preceded in death by his brother, William Garfield (Wimpy) Odegard. Two nieces, Becky & Kristi.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi with Pastor, Rolf Morck officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of service at Church. Interment will be private at Oak Park Cemetery.
