Robert M. Jaskowski
Robert "'Bob" Martin Jaskowski, 68, of Eau Claire, WI passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Dove Health Care-South in Eau Claire, WI.
He was born May 16, 1947 in Eau Claire, WI to Martin and Edna (Emerson) Jaskowski.
Bob graduated from Eleva Strum High School in 1965. He drafted into the Army in 1967, where he served in Korea until 1970.
Upon discharge, Bob attended Chippewa Valley Technical College, employed at Uniroyal Rubber Co., and farmed with his brother "Jimmy" in Eleva. Bob began a lifetime career at the telephone company, where he retired after 32 years of service.
Bob was diagnosed and survived pancreatic cancer in 2002. He was fortunate to live his life to the fullest, enjoying family, friends, and pursing his hobbies. He was especially fond of fishing on the Chippewa Flowage and golfing with Deb, hunting and experiencing the great outdoors with his family and friends. One of Bob's proudest moments in life, was shooting the "Trophy buck of a lifetime" in November of 2013.
He is survived by Deb Klawiter of 20 years; (2) sons; Keith Jaskowski of Eau Claire, Brian (Shari) Jaskowski of Strum, Erin (Josh) Christenson of Eau Claire. (3) Grandchildren; Lena Jaskowski, Nash and Blake Christenson. (2) Brothers; Richard (Linda) Jaskowski of Eleva, James ( Vicki) Jaskowski of Eleva, and many family and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Edna Jaskowski, sister Julia Jaskowski.
Bob will always be remembered for his loving heart, genuine acts of kindness and contagious personality. To know Bob was to love Bob.
In honor of Bob's life, there will be a Celebration of Life at Hickory Hills Golf Course from 4-8PM, Friday, November 13, 2015.
A private service will be held on November 14th at 10:00.
In lieu of monetary gifts, the family is requesting to please share one of your fondest memories or moments with Bob in a card as the family is creating a "Tribute Book" reflective of Bob's life, and would encourage everyone he knew to share.
A special thank you is warranted to the medical staff that assisted Bob in his courageous journey; Mayo Luther-Neuro, Dove Healthcare South, and St. Croix Hospice. Your smiles, kind words, knowledge and positive demeanor, assisted him with comfort. God Bless.
