Orlyn Rud Obituary
Orlyn Jerold Rud, age 81 of Eleva, WI passed away on October 28, 2014 with his wife by his side.
Orlyn was born August 14, 1933 to Carl and Ella (Bidney) Rud. Orlyn worked in construction, motel management, storage unit management expediting in many states, also for U-haul. Orlyn was an ordained minister doing missionary work in the Philippians, Mexico and the Home Place Ministry in Mondovi, WI. Jail and prison Ministry in California, Chicago and Wisconsin.
Orlyn loved playing his guitar and violin for the Prince of Peace Covenant Church in which he was a member. He served our country as a sailor for several years. He loved the Lord and shared his faith in God with everyone he met.
Orlyn is survived by his wife Norma, daughters; Valerie (Gary) George, Joni Haller, Pamelia ( Mark) Leidl. daughter-in-law; Judy. Son; Scott ( Sharon) Rud, Step Son's; Curt ( Jenny) Schaub, Dennis ( Kathy) Arneson, Daniel ( Jenny) Arneson, David ( Bess) Arneson. Step Daughter; Susan (Allen ) Risler. Brothers; Norman (Rosalin) Rud, Albert Rud. Sister; Eileen Rud. Many Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Aunt, Uncles and Cousins.
Orlyn is preceded in death by his first wife; Lorraine, his parents, son; Steven, Sisters; Ethelyn, Margaret and Ruth. Brothers; Carl and Alton. The family wishes to Thank Sacred Heart Hospital and Staff, The Clairemont Assisted Living and Staff for the excellent loving care that he received while he was there.
A visitation will be held on Thursday November 6, 2014, from 12:00-2:00pm at the Prince of Peace Covenant Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm also at the Prince of Peace Covenant Church with Pastor Stephen Allison officiating. Burial will follow with Military rights by the Mondovi Legion Post 0154, at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
