Keith Drew Obituary

Keith L. Drew, 77, of Mondovi passed away peacefully at Mayo Clinic, Eau Claire on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. His family was by his side.
Keith was born July 4, 1937, to Lawrence and Zerna (Burton) Drew at their home in Council Grove, Kansas. During his childhood, Keith spent much time with his aunt and uncle, George and Bernice Shaw and their daughters on their ranch as Keith's father was in the army during WWII. Keith developed a love for anything mechanical. He worked on old cars, scooters and motorcycles and following graduation from high school, he worked for Cessna Aircraft in Witchita and obtained a private pilot's license, and was a member of the Kansas Air National Guard.
Keith ventured north to Wisconsin where he again worked for an aviation company and eventually became licensed as a certified laundry manager and environmental services manager. He worked in management at hospitals and nursing homes in the Milwaukee area for several years.
Keith married Christine Hanson Drew on July 14, 1984, at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi, WI. As he approached retirement, Keith and Chris moved to Mondovi, Chris's hometown. He spent time with his hobbies and rebuilt a 1964 Vespa scooter and vintage Chevy. Keith was a VIP member at Blondie's and KD's restaurants where he had his coffee daily.
Keith was a quiet man, thought deeply but spoke little, yet he was wise and intuitive. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Zerna (Burton) Drew, half-brother Donald Burton, in-laws, Norman and Virginia Hanson.
He is survived by his wife Christine, daughters Katherine and Colleen Dale, grandchildren Taylor and Michael Wilfert and Mya Lopez, and his pal Peaches, the pooch, brother-in-law Mark (Vickie) Hanson, cousins, nieces and nephews, and other relatives
Keith will be deeply missed by his family. His love and compassion were immeasurable.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be extended to Central Lutheran Church.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 1:00pm, at the Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi. Pastor Rolf Morck is officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery, Mondovi, WI.
