Karla Engen Obituary
Karla Annette (Kloss) Engen 43, of Eleva, WI passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Eau Claire County. Karla was born in Eau Claire, WI on October 11, 1972 to the late William and Carol (Kolkind) Kloss .
Karla grew up in Eleva and graduated from Eleva-Strum High School. She earned her associates degree as a Dental Assistant at Tyde Water Tech, Virginia. On February 14, 1995 she married Christopher Thompson together they had two children: Jacob and Nicholas. They spent the next several years traveling while he was in the Military, they later divorced.
On July 14, 2012 she married Larry Engen in Eleva, WI. Karla loved being a mom, working with the kids at school and working at the Eleva-Strum High School as an Office Assistant. She was a big Cardinal Fan and especially loved to watch the Eleva-Strum Basketball Team and her Boy's.
Karla had a great love for her dogs and all other animals; in March of 2016 she opened her dream business, Wag'n Tails Canine Spa and Stay.
Karla is survived by her husband: Larry of Eleva; 5 children: Jacob and Nicholas Thompson, Maggie and Tanner Engen and Lindsay Thompson. 2 brothers: John (Jodi) Kloss and Robert (Karissa) Kloss. 1 step sister: Lori Enger; 1 step brother: Eddie Enger and step father: Ken Enger; step mother: Cheryl Kloss and Her 2 Babies (Dog's): Lilly and Charlie.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother William Kloss.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Eleva, WI, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 11:00AM at the Eleva Lutheran Church in Eleva. Burial will follow at the Eleva Cemetery.
