Joyce LaDuke Obituary

Joyce H. LaDuke, age 88, of Eau Claire, passed on to the loving arms of her Lord and waiting husband on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Grace Willowbrook Assisted Living in Eau Claire. She was born on June 2, 1928 in Mondovi to Rangnar and Margaret (Olson) Segerstrom. She grew up there and graduated from Mondovi High School in 1946. On June 7, 1947, she married Roy LaDuke, embarking on a journey of 65 years of marriage. Over her lifetime, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her family's love and memories will remain her living legacy.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Peg (Bob) Norquist and Cindy (David) Meredith; two sons, Jack (Laurie) LaDuke and Michael LaDuke; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Duane (Rose) Segerstrom and Lee (Karen) Segerstrom; two brothers-in-law, Elmer LaDuke and Ralph LaDuke; three sisters-in-law, Florence Shea, Florence Leefeldt, and Marian LaDuke; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 2012; parents; two brothers, Ralph (Margaret) Segerstrom and Arlen Segerstrom; sister, Lorraine (Orvin) Julson; four brothers-in-law, Don Shea, Roger LaDuke, Milton LaDuke, and Paul (Joyce) LaDuke; and sister-in-law, Marjorie LaDuke.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Our Savior's United Methodist Church in Mondovi with Reverend Dale Engen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank everyone who was a part of Joyce's life and also extend a special thank you to the staff at Grace Willowbrook Assisted Living, Dr. Randall Casper, and Mayo Clinic Hospice for the care and compassion shown towards Joyce and her family.
