Jean Todahl Obituary
Jean Lorraine (Toy) Todahl, 92 of Eleva, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Cornell Care Center in Cornell, WI. Jean was born on June 28, 1923 in Chippewa Falls, WI to the late Ralph and Rebecca (Anderson) Toy.
Jean married, Orville Todahl, on March 16, 1946. They lived and started a family in the Eleva area until 1952 when they moved to Eau Claire, WI. In 1965 they moved to Holcombe, WI where they lived and operated Big Swede's Resort for over 32 years. Eventually they returned to Eleva in their later years.
Jean loved spending time with her family and friends especially the girl's trips to the casino. She also enjoyed pontoon rides. Jean was a long time member of the Eleva VFW ladies auxiliary.
Survivors include three Children; Susan Sutor of Holcombe, WI, Kate Weber of Holcombe, WI, Edwin Todahl of Brule, WI.
Grandkids; Michael Sutor, Gerrit (Cathy) Van Doorn, Derk (Alyssa) Van Doorn, Zachery Weber, Kayla Weber-Colbenson, Orrin (Naomi) Todahl, Lindsay (Robert) Erdman.
Great Grandkids; Chase, Jax, Zane and Lincoln.
She is also survived by sister-in-laws; Connie Todahl, Corrine Todahl. She will be loved and missed by many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by her, Husband Orville, Grandson; George Sutor Jr. Son-in-law; George Sutor Sr. 2 Brothers; Glen and Jack Toy.
Funeral Services will be held at the Eleva Lutheran Church, Eleva, WI on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Robert Castro officiating. Burial will follow at Rest haven Cemetery, Old Town Rd, Eau Claire, WI. A Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements have been entrusted with Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home of Eleva.
