Gloria Ottum Obituary
Gloria Ann (Sandberg) Ottum, 62 of Mondovi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
She was born on November 5, 1954 in Mondovi, WI the youngest of 9 girls to the late August and Cecelia (Eastman) Sandberg.
Gloria lived her entire life around the Mondovi, Modena and Gilmanton area. She graduated from Mondovi High School in 1973.
Soon after graduation she married Royal Ottum on May 27, 1973. Gloria and Royal raised three children together and bought an old farm near the Modena area in 1984 where they still reside.
Gloria worked at Hunsinger Farms and did in home Health Care for several years. Her greatest joy came later in life when she took care of her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her Husband of 43 years Royal of Mondovi, daughter, Kim (Mike) Fillmore of Independence, sons; Jason Ottum and Edwin Ottum (special friend Amy) of Mondovi. Sisters; Mary Rolandt of Mondovi, and Jean (Cliff) Anderson of Glenwood City. Grandchildren; Jacob, Morgan and Tyler Fillmore, Katlynn and Whitney Ottum, Grayce and Gavyn Howard, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Ilene Hanson, Carol Sandberg, Ellen Sandberg, JoAnn Julson-Poeschel, Donna Whipple and Lucille Hoover.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 11:00AM at United Methodist Church in Gilmanton with Pastor Dale Engen Officiating. Burial will be private.
