Gerald Christianson Obituary
Gerald Christianson, age 67 of Eleva, WI passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Gerald was born in Mondovi, WI on May 5, 1947 to Morten and Leona (Olson) Christianson. He married Cheryl Russell in 1966, to this marriage 3 children were born.
Gerald loved farming, grilling chicken and making potato salad at family gatherings, he was known for his dill pickles.
He was an avid football fan, and especially enjoyed watching his grandson's games and the Cardinal Football Nation. For many years Gerry and his son's dug graves at many of the Mondovi area cemeteries. Gerald loved spending time with family and his dogs, Buddy, Teakie and Winnie.
"NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE" is the name his family gave to his courageous battle with cancer.
Gerald is survived by his mother Leona, his wife of 49 years Cheryl. 3 children; Ross ( Kathryn) Christianson of Dassel, MN, Randy Christianson of Eleva, WI, John Christianson of Mondovi, WI,
5 Grandchildren; Josh Everson, Cole Christianson, Jesse Gibson, Coy Christianson and Brandalyn (Jamison) Kauss.
3 Great Grandchildren; Trey, Carter and Ryder.
Brothers and Sisters; Murial Cox of Mondovi, WI, Al (Debbie) Christianson of Strum, WI, Carol ( Dave) Maug of Strum, WI, Curt (Vicki Gore) Christianson of Eleva, WI.
Gerald is preceded in death by his father Morten, his grandparents and brother-in-law Frank Cox.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi and one hour prior to services at the Church.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, 11:00 AM., Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden with Pastor David Bangert officiating.
