Darcy Mae Wood, age 21 of Caledonia, MN, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2015. Darcy was born in LaCrosse, WI on October 12, 1993 to William and Patty (Laehn) Wood. She attended and graduated from La Cresent High School in 2012. Darcy worked at the Caledonia Care and Rehab.
Darcy loved being an aunt and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved life and had a bubbly personality. She liked salt water taffy and spending time at the beach.
She left behind many, many friends.
Darcy is survived by her parents William and Patty (Laehn) Wood of Brownsville, MN. Brothers and Sisters ; David Miller (Sharon) Wood of Stewartville, MN, Darin Marshall (Jessica) Wood of Chesapeake, VA, Daryl Matthew (Brenda) Wood of Dover, MN, Dawna Marie (Matt) Skaff of LaCrosse, WI, Danny Michael (Samantha) Wood of La Cresent, MN, Darek Mitchell (Friend Kamera) Wood of Houston, MN, Damon Martin (Amber) Wood of Spring Grove, MN, Dayle Malcholm (Amanda) Wood of Caledonia, MN. 23, nieces and nephews, a special aunt, Melissa Strauss, and many aunts and uncles. Her special Gramma, Bonnie Mulhalland and her dog's, "Tunchi, Templeton and Ellie".
Darcy is preceded in death by her grandparents, DeVere and Phyllis Wood, Jerome "Bud" Laehn, Kathryn and Henry Budzinski, aunts and uncles and special grandfather, Ray Mulhalland.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home at 11:00am with Pastor William Reese officiating.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Funeral Home in Mondovi, WI from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and one hour preceding the services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
