Bronson Opland Obituary
Bronson "Bud" Opland, age 80 of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Eleva, WI. passed away peacefully at the Chippewa Veteran's Home on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
Bud was born on January 20, 1934 in La Cross, WI, to Hilmar and Olga (Stetzer) Opland. He married Aldene Peterson on April 16, 1955 in Waukon, IA.
Over the years Bud worked for National Presto in Eau Claire, the A.G. Creamery in Arcadia, and was Janitor for the Eleva-Strum grade school and at the Lutheran Church in Strum.
Bud was an avid Wisconsin football fan, he loved the Badgers and Packers.
Bud will be dearly missed by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Aldene, their three sons, Randy ( Jane) Opland, Alan ( Jeri) Opland & David Opland.
Three Grandchildren; Jenny (Jeff) Herried, Alesha Opland & Tommy Opland. Two Great Grandchildren; Ruby & Nola Herried. His Cheetos Buddy and Grand Dog "Tater Tot". Two Sisters; Zeviah ( Bud) Zube, Mildred Timm, one Brother; Rusty (Bernice) Opland. Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents; Hilmar & Olga, In-laws; Edwin & Alice Peterson, two brothers' in-laws; Larry Timm and Merlin Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Eleva Lutheran Church with a visitation from 9:00am-11:00am.Funeral services at 11:00am. with burial to follow at the West Beef River Cemetery, Strum, WI.
