Arlene Odegard Obituary
Arlene Inez Odegard (Dregney), 79 of Mondovi, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's in Rochester, MN. She was born in Modena, WI to Bert and Sena (Mahlum) Dregney on July 14, 1937.
Arlene married Einar Odegard on February 15, 1958 in Modena. She was a member of the VFW, the Women's Auxiliary, Thompson Valley Church until it burned, and Valley of the Shepherd Church thereafter.
Arlene worked as a cook at the Mondovi Public School as well as the Lutheran Home. She also worked for Dr. Johnson's office.
She loved playing cards, farkle, making doughnuts, spending time with family, and going to church.
She is survived by her children, Debra Sandvig of Fall Creek, Charles (Teresa) Odegard of Mondovi, Cindy (Lonnie) Pichler of Appleton, Thomas (Jenny) Odegard of Eau Claire, Christina (Brian) Schmidtknecht of Mondovi; Special nephew, David (Michelle) Wright; Grandchildren, David Thomas, Berant (Nicole) Sandvig, Tracy (John) Smith, Travis Odegard, Kayla (Jesse) Schoenfuss, Ammie (Tim) Hansen, Bradly Pichler, Aaron Brody and Logan Schmidtknecht; Great Grandchildren, Aydon Justice and Stone Thomas, Colton and Jocelyn Smith, Sebastian Isabella Hunter and Evelynn Schoenfuss; Siblings, Robert (Jean) Dregney, Donna (Duane) Klopp, Ruth (Don) Kite-Hanson, Verna (Jerry) Jannings; Brother-in-law Clarence Odegard; Sister-in-law Ethel Odegad; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Einar; her parents; a granddaughter, Shanda Sandvig; Brothers, James Dregney, Darrell (Bonnie) Dregney and Brother-in-law Darrell Kite.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, 11:00AM at Valley of the Shepherd Church in Mondovi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi. Friends may also call from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church on Monday.
Burial will follow at Thompson Valley Cemetery.
