Anthony Douglas Topper (21) of Altoona, WI died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was born January 20, 1997 in River Falls, WI; son of Adam (Kelly) Topper and Angela (Darrel) Engen.
He graduated from Eleva/Strum High School in 2015. Following high school, he attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and earned his degree in welding. He was currently working at Waste Water Research in Eau Claire.
Anthony enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and playing football. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. Mostly he loved to spend time with his pride and joy, his daughter, Paisley.
He is survived by his daughter, Paisley; parents, Angela and Darrel Engen of Dane, WI; Adam and Kelly Topper of Wausau, WI; siblings, Jessa (Matt) Payne of Strum, WI, Dustyn Topper, Jocelyn Topper, Justyne Engen, Braxtyn Engen, all of Dane, WI, Devin Russell and Isabella Topper of Coon Rapids, MN; nephew and niece, Shay and Elodie Payne; grandparents, Tom and Rhonda Segerstrom, Wally and Liz Topper; great-grandmothers, Rose Segerstrom, Betty Topper and Rita Veitch; aunts and uncles, Carolyn (Chad) Johnson, Jeremiah (Jessica) Segerstrom, Kayla (Sam) Bates, Laura (Isaiah) Humphrey, Nick (Nikki) Segerstrom, Josh (Bridgitte) Segerstrom, Greg (Stacy) Topper, Randy (Kara) Topper, John (Crystal) Topper, Dale (Linda) Engen, Karen Engen, Jan (Ray) Turja, Lori Engen, Bonnie (Dale) Herbenson, Larry Engen and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alton and Bernice Engen; great-grandparents, Martin and Gertrude Sandberg; great-grandfathers, Wally Topper Sr., Duane Segerstrom and John Veitch.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Eleva Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Castro officiating. Burial will be in the Eleva Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Eleva, WI and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
